What does flossing have to do with preserving your memory?

According to Michael Roizen, M.D., and author of YOU—The Owner’s Manual: An Insider’s Guide to the Body that Will Make You Healthier and Younger, the bacterial plaque between your teeth could cause an immune reaction resulting in damage to your arteries. If your arteries can’t carry the oxygen-rich blood to your brain, then your brain cells could starve and die. This process could leave you open to memory loss and possibly other neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. Try to keep floss in your bathroom so you can include it in your daily morning and nighttime routine. Or carry around an extra container of floss for use at work or while traveling.
