Water is a critical nutrient to help maintain your health. Your body is made up of 60 to 70 percent water. If these levels drop—the deficiency can cause a host of health problems including dehydration… fatigue… back pain… constipation… headaches… joint pain… muscle cramps… and more!

You lose water throughout the day by urinating, sweating and even breathing. And if you mix in caffeine or alcohol, then your body’s water supply could dry up even faster!

To calculate how much water you should drink, take your body’s total weight and divide that in half. That will indicate how many ounces you should consume daily. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds, you should drink 80 ounces of water each day.

So tip up your cup—and make your next beverage a tall, cold glass
of water!
