I have just purchased a water ionizer and we are drinking
water set to 9.5 ph to help my husband with Crohns. He has
been diagnosed at 83 years of age. It could also be Meckels
diverticulum. How do we find a doctor who can help us diagnose. He is now off of all meds, drinking the ionized water,
taking probiotics and eating a sensible diet, after reading
"'breaking the vicious cycle''.

We have also been to 3 different gastro doctors all want to
treat for crohns and not look any further.

can you help in any way. Marie

Thanks Victoria. The Armour is what I'm trying to get. My endo will not prescribe it, she's text book only! She wants to take my thyroid out and put me on Synthroid for the rest of my life which I have refused to do. I did find a doctor who will work with me and is pro natural medicine. I just need to get the money to see him as my insurance will not cover it.

The other concern I had was if using the DIM product was safe for me. I'm sure I have hormone issues as well.

I read about a patient using Armour and she's done very well on it. My face is puffy and especially my eye lids. Also, eyes are very watery. In her case, all the puffiness went away after being on Armour. I don't look anything like I did before I became sick. However, I do not have bulging eyes or symptoms of Graves disease. I've been under the care of an endo for years but things are not getting better. From my own studies I learned to fight for my thyroid and not get it taken out unless of course there's cancer which when last tested there was none. Still, my endo is knife happy.

Armour bovine thyroid extract is a great replacement. If mad cow disease is a concern there is also a porcine thyroid extract. You will probably have to find an older endocrinologist or an MD who is open to alternative therapies. It is hard work to advocate for yourself but is definitely worth it. The Broda Barnes Institute may be able to give you a list of physicians in your area knowledgeable in many approaches to solving your thyroid problems. Synthroid may work but has problems and I don't trust a company that fudges its test data.

Getting an initial diagnosis for thyroid is hard enough. Having it adjusted over the years is nearly impossible if your Dr. is relying on only T4 tests. Check out the Broda Barnes Institute. Dr. Barnes was Chief of Endocrinolgy at the University of Chicago medical School for many years and recommends Armour Thyroid. Studies have shown it to have heart health benefits.

Thanks Edith but I'm trying to find someone who will prescribe a natural thyroid hormone instead of Synthroid. I'm not sure what coumadin and warfirin are and why you mention them. Are they in the DIM product?

I wrote to the site but no one has answered yet.

Hi, Just to let you know. I have been taking Synthroid for over 30 years. I also
have been on a blood thinner for several years. I have found out that coumadin and
warfirin will affect the outcome in a blood test for thyroid. It took me almost 2 months to see a specialist on thyroid. In the meanrime, I gained 13 lis, fingernails started to crack and breakoff. For the first time, Some of the knuckles on my hands split open.
I also had hair loss.

I have 2 concerns. What other problems can low pH cause? Mine registers 5 on the test tape. It could be lower but the tape won't only goes as low as 5.

Also, I have what looks like freckles on my shins front and back. I've never had anything like that before. What could be causing this?

Lastly, I have thyroid problems and have read cruciferous (sp) vegetables should be avoided for the most part. As I am 60 yrs I wondered if I could benefit from your DIM product or would it be a bad idea in view of my thyroid issues.
