Toxins can enter our bodies in several different ways. They can enter our system through the foods we eat, the liquids we drink and the air we breathe—but the most dangerous is the foods we ingest by mouth. Do you know how many additives are intentionally included in the foods we eat? Artificial additives such as synthetic vitamins, colors, flavors, flavor enhancers, preservatives, emulsifiers, sweeteners and MORE!

These things are added to foods and beverages in order to prevent oxidation and to stop the growth of microorganisms. Also, foods are contaminated by toxins and metals while being processed, harvested, stored or packaged. This could mean animal hairs, rat droppings, bits of plastic, shards of glass, bits of paper or tin and many other substances.

In fact, according to Bruce Fife, N.D., and author of The Detox Book, by the time you’re 65, you will have consumed about 100,000 pounds of food, including nearly 10,000 pounds of food additives and incidental contaminants. Gross!
