For a heart-healthy meal, try adding more salmon into your diet. The omega-3 fatty acid-rich fish also contains carotenoid astaxanthin—a very potent antioxidant known to help lower blood pressure and dissolve blood clots. You should avoid farm-raised salmon, which can be loaded with pesticides, toxic metals and insecticides.
