If you are taking supplements like eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), vitamin E and beta-carotene for dry skin—here are some simple dietary suggestions to improve your scaly arms and legs:

  • Reduce your fat intake by about 25 percent
  • Eat fish three times a week and
  • Limit red meat to no more than twice weekly

If you plan to eat out, choose blue-skinned, cold-water fish like mackerel, sardines, horse mackerel, yellowtail or Spanish mackerel.

And try to use “seed and nut” oils for salads and cooking. This includes flax, sesame, linseed, soy, olive and canola oils.
